Default spinach ok for torts???????

is it ok 2 feed my horsefield brian spinach?????

Sorry its a no no, stops the absorbtion of calcium to their bones.

Like practically everything else, a small amount once in a while wouldn't do too much harm- but there are plenty of better alternatives!

It can cause loss of some calcium due to the oxalates present binding the calcium in the diet. It does not stop absorption. As part of a balanced diet with added calcium and vits it is fine.

No, no worse than any other dark green vegetable as they all contain oxalates. Add extra calcium to the diet and it helps. Variety is the key spinach has many other nutrients which are good for the tortoise.
