Default How much longer???????

Hey folks

Wee Flanders has been in the fridge for 4 weeks now and happily hibernating, losing no more than 1g per wk.
As far as im aware this is her 1st hibernation, so how much longer should I let her sleep? does she just stay asleep as long as the temps are down or will instinct wake her up?

The standard answer on here seems to be aim for 8 weeks, so long as the weights are ok.

Ron's right in the 8 weeks - weight loss shouldn't be more than 10% of the body weight when they went in the fridge - if alls well after 8 weeks you can leave them for a furhter 2 weeks

Yes eight weeks minimum, and if they are still not loosing weight, then another two weeks would be ok. This allows the weather outside to get better, with more weeds available.
