Default finally! a basking pic!! lol

i have been trying to catch her basking for AGES and every time i get the camera out she dives back in the water! but i managed to get ONE (rather bad) shot of my little african mud basking today!..thought i would share it as its quite an achievement lol (yes i am mad!)

Yes, they are a bit like swimmng stomachs in shells!


You'll just have to watch her figure for her... as they have NO idea!

yeah i am doing as you advised, and rationing her to what i feel is a suitable amount, as if i fed her as much as she would eat she would outgrow her shell i think!
