Default do these look like healthy tortoises??



i am looking for another tortoise i already have a 2 year old but want another on i came accross this advert for 2 for sale the ones that look flat to me?? what does everyone think about the pictures?? i really think they dont look well looked after etc , any advise would be great xx

i dont own torts but they look like they have bad pyrimiding to me although i could be wrong

no their shells are flat,I have a feeling this could be caused by being kept in a vivarium at a too hot temp or the lack of calcium

I am definitely no expert but I do know that they're shells should be flat, not like they appear.

this is what i was thinking , my tortoise is small but his shell has a "normal" tortoise looking shell to him , but when i saw these i was very concerned , he said they were 5 years old and wants £125 for them each!!

I'd pass. Those tortoises have severe MBD (Metabolic Bone Disease) caused by a poor diet & over feeding.

They both have advanced metabolic bone disease.
There internal organs will be compressed by the deformation of the shell.
Caused by an unsuitable diet and bad husbandry.
