Absolutely not.

Snapping turtles are aggressive, even to their own kind and should be housed singularly.

The Map will just be a meal for the Snapper!

Yes i was serious lol....It not me though its my friend shes been informed that a map turtle would be ok in with her snapper...I begged to differ but she wouldnt/wont listen...She currently owns a 3yr old snapper and is looking for another turtle to keep it company as she states "it just looks lonely" lol....I told her that snappers were aggressive but im not a snapper keeper and know very little regarding them...

Thanks for all your comments...

Sounds like she may learn the hard way then, when the Map gets eaten!

If she won't believe you, just point her in the direction of this Snapper caresheet Care Sheet - Common Snapping Turtle, and get her to read the bit about Community Habitat.
