My wife wants a tortoise table and likes the look of this one. Does anyone use this type and what do you think of them if you do. PetClub UK - Product gallery
Cheers

Hi,
Yes my other half does and loves that type and has the medium size. Here is his pic; http://www.reptileforums.co.uk/shell...-tort-set.html And here is a good link where you can buy that table and everything else you will, the guy that runs it knows torts and gives great after sales support; http://kimbosreptileworld.co.uk/hous...480c798c72b7ed |

Hi Frogeye, I have been really pleased with this type of table, it arrives flatpacked takes around 10 mins to assemble and is quite a sturdy construction, the tray sits nice and safely in the runners and can easily be removed for cleaning, the bars along the top enable you to position the lamp where you choose, plenty of depth to the sides, wheels on bottom for easy positioning and a mesh panel to enclose the tray to protect from dogs etc. I paid £84 for medium sized table (4ft x 2ft ) and £8.00 for delivery charge. If I had choosen a wooden table of this size the price would be around the same, but if I had enough time on my hands cheapest way is to make a wooden one. but all things considered these tables are great value for money one point to mention is be carefull filling this type of table with a sand/soil mix, this is because the weight can cause the plastic sides of the tray to split which has happened to somebody else who has one of these tables. but using a light substrate such as aubiose hemp will leave you with no problems and you can still put trays of sand/soil to give your torts the option. I think its down to personal choice, Mollbags and I also have a wooden table which we like very much as its natural wood.

Surrey Pet Supplies are good on prices. Can't remember what the exact price was now but if a price match can be made then it's worth checking out
I have this table but it is currently in storage as I don't have my tort yet. |
