still wandering on my last post, but recently i was walking my dobermann and i noticed that near me there is some weeds on a wild feild but not sure what they are, they look like a cross between dandilions but bigger like doc leaves, without the dotts

at the moment my torts are getting a diet of dandelions and sometimes some peas and carrots but mainly dandelions because i have lots of weeds in the garden but even with the pics on here am finding it hard to tell whats what?

May have missed the boat here, but has anyone mentioned goosegrass (otherwise known as 'sticky willy' lol)? Even my RES and my bearded dragon like it.

Hey guys your info has been sooo helpful to me as a newbie! I was really worried about mismanaging the little guy's diet but I feel I know what I should be doing now. Thanks! The only thing that's worrying me is that there isn't much growing outside where I live and not much space to grow it.
I will eventually grow some varieties of weeds etc indoors but until then is it acceptable to pick them from somewhere in the wild or do they not really get the nutrients once they are picked? confused! x x

From the wild i assume from you garden?? I pick mine from my garden, not many about as you say, some dandelion leaves and plaintian, the odd bit of clover. Just make sure you wash them before giving them to him. Mix it with the florette bagged salaad, only enough to cover his shell, which is not that much for a baby and only a light and i mean light dusting of calium/nutrobal etc.

If your getting the weeds from a public place, be wary as the council has likly sprayed these with weed killer etc. Best be sure and get weeds from your garden and friends/family and make sure they dont use pesticide or any thing or you gonna have a big vet bill.

Good Luck
