A tortoise table..

Google Image Result for https://petegraham.wordpress.com/files/2006/11/tortoise_table.GIF

Only kidding, here is real one..

Pet Zoo Tortoise Table, Tortoise Housing (custom sizes available) £101.99 - Pet Zoo Online Reptile Shop & Exotic Pet Store

Quick Tips

You can use a mix of sand and soil at a ratio of 40 to 60 respectivly.

Make sure the substrate at the end with the basking light is shallow so the tortoise cannot dig down.

Provide a couple of hides at the cool end and vary the terrain throughout the table (add hills, fake plants or secure walls) this will make it more interesting for the tort.

You can also add an area of pebbles or hemp.

You should be aiming for a basking spot of 30-32*C.

Provide a large but shallow so the tortoise can bath and drink.

In the cool end make the substrate deep so he can dig.

Thats the idea, but that is incredibly expensive for what is essentially a flat pack cupboard on it's back, plus at last count TT had no idea of the moneys being donated to them LOL

Hi,

Have only just joined rfuk but have been lurking for ages. Anyway from the look of the viv he's currently in I would be tempted to turn it on it's back and remove the doors as it looks like a tall viv from the pictures and there you have it a tortoise table. It isn't big enough for the long term but if your planning on keeping him outdoors as of next spring with a heated greenhouse or shed or even kennel if your happy with just the one then I dont see any problem just using the viv as I have described until then. Stick 6" of sand and soil in it and for the rest use your imagination

I tend to disagree the tort looks like an adult and that viv is much to small, on its back or not. It's tiny, and he has no room to move around. It's essential some sort of larger enclosure is sorted soon for his mental wellbeing if nothing else

Just had a look again and I mis judged the size of the tortoise didn't realise we were looking at its back end I thought it was its size. I would go bigger as soon as you can just dont spend a fortune if he's going outside next spring.
