Default using a microclimate matstat on two heatmats?

hello

i currently have a 08 corn in a 12l rub with a 24w heat mat run through a microclimate matstat my question is would it be possible to use the same stat/probe to heat a second heatmat maybe a larger one in another rub for a royal python 08?
im aware the pyhton will require more heat and thought by trial and error ie adjusting how much mat under the rub (before the second snake) to get the two set ups right or is it not feasable or just not worth it and get a second stat?

cheers martin
