Temperament:

ccp's are generally quite nippy when young but if you handle them regulalrly (handle twice a day for 15 minutes) they should become tame within a couple of months. however some will never tame. once they are older and have learn't that your not a threat they usually will calm down and not be as skitty.

Longevity:

if housed properlly and not stressed a ccp could live upto 30 years of age, but average around 20 if taken care of properly.

Size:

hatchlings are usually between 12-16 inches and are around the width of a pencil. at a year they are usually at the 2-3 feet mark and at adults male's typically average out at around 6-8feet maxing out around 11, and females averaging 7-9 feet and maxing out at 14 ft.

housing:

generally hatchling can be kept in tubs the size's of shoe boxes and at a year of age can be moved into there adult viv as long as there are many hides.
the miniumim viv size for a adult should be 3x2x2 but remeber this would only be for a very small male. a good viv size is a 4x2x2 for a male or a 5x2x2 for a female but they have the potentiel to get very large so dont say that it will never need a viv as big as a 5x3x2 or 6x2x2 becuase it may.
what my setup contains:
a hot end hide,
a cool end hide
a couple of branches for climbing on(these should be around the thickness of the snake),
a water bowl
loo rowl tube,
kitchen, newspaper or aspen as substrate.
a couple of fake plants,
a small 60w light,
heatmat mat that covers 1/3rd of the viv

Temperature:

as i said earlier i use a heatmat covering 1/3rd of the viv and a 60w basking light but remember to always use a thermostat with ure heating apparatus. All of that brings the hot end up to 92 degrees and the cool end at around 77 degrees, the ambient temperature is around 83 degrees.

Humidity:
the relative humidity should be 40 percent but i usually rise the humidity to 60 when shedding.

Feeding:

i feed hatchlings pinkie rats once a week, and as juveniles (at around 1.5 to 2 years of age) weaner/small rats a week, as adults i would feed mine a xl large jumbo rat's every 2 weeks i class adults as adults once they have reached 4 years of age .

handling:
i had to handle mine twice a day to stop him from neing so nippy but after 2 months of doing that he was fine. now i tend to handle mine once every 1-2 days

Overall:
They are fantastic snakes if your looking for something relatively large, handleable, cheap to buy and to keep, semi arboreal, usually on show and do not hide all the time and overall a great pet.
