Default jungle carpet python tameing?

hi just got a lovley baby jcp but is quite nippy and hisses any tips on tameing?

i just swapped a jcp for a dumerils boa because it was too aggresive

I dont particularly like getting bitten by snakes, but, if your going to own carpet pythons then its something your going to have to live with for a bit untill it tames.

I dont agree with people buying a typically nippy species and then selling it for something it notorious for.....

The way I think of it is, better to get bitten by a foot long baby than by a fully grown adult snake. :P
Apparently BRB's can be aggresive, but mines been fine
I think you just have to keep at it and maybe take some bites unfortunately.
Just don't sneak up on the snake and don't give up if it does bite, because then it will just learn that biting works.

like above. i would most defo take a bite from a foot long baby then from a adult ANY day. any way baby bites dont really hurt. my baby IJ had a nibble on my finger didnt even realise untill i looked

I've just got myself a 4ft long cp - beautiful looking animal, but it's sur that I'm food!

I've been handling him twice a day (with gloves) since sunday and he's calming down a bit (a little bit)

I'm thinking of removing a glove at the weekend ha ha
