I agree it's not a great page at all but they are far from dangerous really...

Everyone is entitled to their opinions, but im afraid i disagree with you...

This is a good friend of mine who was at one point seriously thinking he was going to lose the thumb.

Do not underestimate Boiga species.

That picture is raw. Imagine how much that would have hurt? Good reminder of how potent Boiga venom can be!

That's like saying a bite from all Vipera species is the same. It's not fair to class a bite from one species as a marker for the rest of the genus.

That was not a Cyanea, that was a Dendrophila, even when the Dendro was on the DWA this was not (not that that really counts for much.) I have not read any bad bite accounts... if you have any links to post though then I can say I have

Note I didn't say that all Boiga were not dangerous, just that this one is not particullary...

P.s. As far as I can remember that had a very very good old chew & thumb is still in tact.

Every journal i have read in regards to cyanea venom potency it IS less than that of dendrophilia, but i just think its foolish to say that they are 'not particularly dangerous' when you cant prove this. And yes his thumb is perfectly fine now

Well the 'proof' for me is the lack of bad bites, but your right I have not undertaken any scientific research myself.

Also I have read many sources stating them having even poorer delivery system & yeilds then Dendro.

I just think everyone can go a little over the top sometimes, they can give you an uncomfortable time perhaps sure, but dangerous... perhaps we just have different perceptions of what the word means.
