I'm probably way wrong and will get laughed at for this, but I'm sure I've seen written on the boards somewhere...

etp - emerald tree python ??

etb is emerald tree boa
gtp is green tree python

(you don't get an emerald tree python that is...)

hth - hope to help
atm - at the moment
btw - by the way
atb - can also be all the best, when not used in a snakey contect

stat - thermostat - something different from a thermometer.. a stat controls the temperature, a thermometer only measures it

mat stat - use for heat mats, can take a lower load compared to its bigger brother, the standard on/off thermostat
dimmer stat - use for controling heat bulbs (as in light bulbs)
pulse state - use for controlling ceramics, or banks of heat mats, also better on incubators than a standard on/off stat

don't use a pulse stat on a light source, or you get a disco effect and as well as blowing bulbs faster, also confuse your reptiles as their day night cycles go up the creek.

IMO - in my opinion

always good if you don't want a snotty sow-and-sow to have a dig when it's not welcome
