2009 Corn Run - Savings Scheme

As the dust starts to settle on the 2008 Corn Run it is time to start planning for the 2009 Run.

This initial post is just to inform people that I will be running the Savings Scheme again this year, from 1st November 2008 to 31st July 2009.

If you were a member of the scheme last year and would like to participate again this year just drop me an e-mail informing me of the amount you want to pay weekly/monthly. Your Account Reference Number and the bank account details will be the same as last year.

Anybody who wasn’t part of the scheme last year but would like to participate for the 2009 Corn Run should send me an email. I will assign an account number to you and will supply you with the bank details for payment.

Basically the scheme gives people the opportunity to put away a little money each week, each month or just on an ad-hoc basis to help build up a fund to spend on corns next Summer as part of the 2009 Corn Run. Even for those of you more financially able, it offers the opportunity to spread the cost out over a longer period of time rather than having to pay it in one lump sum. Members of the Saving scheme will receive a 10% discount on their orders provided no payments are missed between November 2008 and July 2009.

You should be fully aware that I am offering this opportunity to you as friends and that the entire program works on TRUST alone. This is not endorsed by the forum and the forum accepts no responsibility for any losses you might occur as a result of paying over money to me. You should also note that this informal arrangement is not regulated by The FSA or any other Financial Regulator.

The rules are pretty simple. Here is the 10 step process;
· You work out what you can afford to pay each week and/or each month
· You send me an e-mail (not a PM) informing me of this amount
· I assign you a customer reference number
· I give you details of the bank account where the money needs to be paid and inform you of your customer number
· You set up a Standing Order with your bank to transfer the agreed amount each week/month into my account or you can use PayPal (you will only be credited net of their fees) not forgetting to quote your customer reference number
· I email you an updated copy of your account statement each time a new credit is received on your behalf
· I send you details of each breeders pricelist
· You choose what you want to spend your money on
· I order the hatchling(s) and have them delivered
· You take delivery of your new hatchling(s)

You can always pay more than the agreed subscription but to minimise the administration effort for me it would be appreciated if you would let me know when you do so. Anyone who wishes to release their cash rather than spend it as part of the 2009 Corn Run will NOT have their monies released until 1st October 2009 unless their order can not be filled due to non availability.

For 2009 I will once again be importing from the top breeders in the US and Europe including Don Soderberg, Carol Huddleston, Rich Zuchowski and Rosier van de Kuil. I will also be hoping to add a few new breeders to the list this year. I will publish pricelists in January/February 2009.

Can`t wait for the 09 lists to appear. Spent hours last year trying to work out what i wanted.
Like a kid in a sweet shop and at my age!!

i have only just joined rfuk but i have been on both the 07 and 08 corn runs and i joined the 08 savings scheme. i was referred to pat by rich z in 2007 as i was trying to import a couple of his corns but couldnt afford the delivery charges on my own. i have found ballpiefun to be not only very honest but he is also very organised and really goes out of his way to help people. i got to meet him this year for the first time and there are very few people i would say this about but i think he is 100% genuine. he really puts himself through all of this because he wants to help people to get some nice morphs at reasonable prices rather than for profit. do yourself a favour and get in touch with him. you wont be disappointed.

Just a quick reminder as we reach the half-way point in November that the first payment must be made during November in order to qualify for the 10% discount. I have replied to everybody who has asked to join the scheme, so if you haven't received a reply, your original request must have been zapped by my SPAM controls. Drop me a PM to confirm your email address. I will add this to my contacts and will then ask you to resend your email. This should prevent your mail from being rejected as SPAM.
