Hi,im not looking to swap or anything but im from castleford too and keep a hoggie and used to have silver dollars, how do you manage to keep silver dollars with plants? mine ate them in 2 seconds, also castleford water is so hard hardly I can hardly grow any plants, have to use RO water for them to survive. I didnt know you could keep them with paranhas either but i guess theyre from the same area, whats a caribe?

caribe are very similar to red bellies but grow bigger, different shaped jaw, black humeral spot behind gill plate n much more aggressive, both from the pygocentrus species.
my dollars were brought up with em so they think they are piranha now, they dont touch plants only eat prawns, fish n worms, they have a go at squid but cant chew it, they are well hard for pussy fish ![]() |
