Default 2Royals+setup£160Wiltshire

2 royal pythons for sale, both thought to be male. Named Bill and Ted. Bill is 2-4 years old and just over 3feet long. Ted is 1-3 years and just over 2 feet long.
Both are normal colours - greeny brown and black. Absolutely beautiful markings.
Come with full set up, tank is 47x15x15 inches with front sliding doors. Includes their cave, water bowl, wooden arch etc.

Both live very happily together despite size difference and both being male (if you look in their cave its just a heap of tangled snake with 2 heads poking out!), but I do separate them at feeding times just in case they strike each other by mistake.

Very beautiful creatures and great to handle, the smaller seems to follow and copy the larger one!

Both eating and shedding well

They will come with any frozen food I have at time of sale.

I am in Chippenham, Wiltshire

£160

Although two males usually should not be kept together, these two are definitely an exception to the rule! As you can see in the second photo, they get on very well.

Actually yes, they do.

If you look in Ross & Marzec's 'Reproductive Husbandry of Pythons and Boas' there are several photographs of male combat injuries on snakes that have later died.

Just because the snakes look 'happy' together doesn't mean this is the case - they have been put in a situation where they have no other option but to squash themselves in a hide together. They haven't done it because they like each others' company, they've done it because they are trying to compete for resources.

You would be better off selling one male with the setup and the second seperately to a keeper that already has the equipement and enclosure needed. Depending on whereabout you are in Wilts I may be interested in one snake plus the setup. If you don't want to split them for sale I may take both and then seperate them here as I have a spare vivarium I can set up for the smaller male.

What heat source are you using for them at the moment?

They have the choice of 2 hides and a sweat box so they are in no way forced to squash themselves in one hide together. They will sometimes choose to be in the same hide and sometimes choose to be in separate. They are both healthy and eating and shedding well. They have been together for quite a while now and there have been no problems at all.
Of course whoever buys them can split them up if they wish.
I know my pets and they have showed no sign of stress so I personally don't see the problem.

There are always exceptions to every rule and in my opinion, they are one of those exceptions.
