Sorry guys, heres Blythe (Halmahera isle boa) again. I can't help taking pictures of her, she changes colour constantly.

Around 4ftish. Short and chunky, the males stay smaller.

Sorry that made me giggle. Candoia boas are rather rare in the UK. I have a 1.1 pair of captive born and bred candoia paulsoni tasmai bred by a friend who stays in the north of Scotland. Pairs were £450 if I remember correctly. A very lucky find, I have loved the Candoia genus for a long time but never wanted to buy a cheap WC animal that could potentially be a waste of money. Viper boas (Candoia aspera) are the most common candoia in the UK, but I have never seen CB babies for sale yet. I know a couple people who have bred them but the babies died pretty quickly.

My friend Linda has seen the adults breeding again this year so she expects another littler of tasmai around September. The gestation period of these wee boas is unbelievably long.

Oh my! and she does it again with another stunner! I love that snake, those beautiful, stark red scale markings and the subtle camouflaged eyes, a total cracker!

I'd give my eye teeth for those babies!!
