depends on the afrock tbh i had the green phe of ryanr1987's and she requires a real confident handler shes pretty calm just need to be real confident as with all afrocks really but i picked up this male from penfold at pras and hes brilliant i mean you have to be carefull with them ,and they do have a habit for striking at your face but luckily mine hasnt yet but they are the only snake ive met that have this much balls lol ,they arnt the sort of snake that will strike a few times then try and get away they will come at you lol i might pi** the burm nuts of now but heres a pic lol :

and when you handle them the trick is to not restrain them you guide them instead ,but a thing with these is you cna see how angry they are buy how curled there tail is once they cur there tail rite around they will probaly strike a good 90% chance on this but luckily mine hasnt curled his tial once and sint even viv defensive alot of it with afrocks is hissing tbh if you dont hesistate and just pick them up they tend to be ok

and a pic of my 2 burms also just to equal the balance out now lol

good info on the af rock mate. theres a few on here that dont like them being tagged [sorry for the pun] with the nasty snake tag. not my cup of tea but always been interested in them due to their behavour. recently they seem to have become a bit more common as people are learning how to handle them and treat them. theres a gay couple in manchester that has them and they really are as handlable as burms if treated right. i cant remember their names but i will look it up. they are the ones too ask about rocks

i know the couple your on about ,and cheers for the compliment on my info ,yeah with afrocks there just misunderstood ,and tbh i dont liek them being tagged as nasty snakes as thats wrong they are nervous snakes ,but if you handled correctly as you say which as i said earlier is to not restrain them but to guide them and to be confident your fine yes they can be nasty but so can any snakes afrocks just show this behaviour a lil bit more commonly due to being scared IMO but with handling and commitment these can be as calm as burms ,the golden rule is though to never trust one like you would a burm/retic as they can get spooked out of nothing and get hectic

nice one adam i heard the same from the couple we are talking about. i take it you have put alot of time into yours. keep spreading the word as i feel they are very misunderstood. to be honest iv come across friendly af rocks b4 and they were always handled the same way. like you also said they are more nervous than aggressive
