Talking

Wish mine were behaving that well as of late - the temperamental buggers.

Most of mine are going off their feeds no doubt in anticipation for hibernation and creating the next generation

Nothing stops Josie eating, but Mattie and Wyatt have both had a feeding break but have eaten for the last few weeks. These 3 are all in a viv together ready to breed. Ringo is in quarantine still and I don't know his age although he appears to be almost adult.

Unhappy

How are yours in together as I am tempted to get my females to double up ?

My only concern is that they may just try out hissing one another in which case I am unlikely to get even a wink of sleep!

I've never had any problems with them in together. The only time I separate them is when the female has laid her eggs I house her in a RUB until she regains her weight.

My 1st hoggies were 2 adult males which I was given. They had lived together all their lives so I left them together and when I got a female of breeding size I just put her with the boys until she laid eggs. She was then removed and kept separate until she had rested and regained her weight then she went back with them. Sadly 1 of my original males died last year but I now have a new female of breeding size so she has gone in with the original pair. Next year Ringo will be ok to breed so I may split them into pairs.

They seem quite happy together. They have room to be alone if they want.

I do always separate them for feeding though
