Default Our breeding year..

Reminiscing on the last year of breeding... took some photos of the lovely babies we produced, so thought I would share

Starting with the corn snakes... We paired my Bloodred het Hypo Lavenders, and we got 12 fertile eggs.. We got 8 Bloodreds, 2 Hypo Bloodreds (both female) and 2 Plasmas (both female)

Held back one female bloodred, and of course the hypo bloods and plasmas..

And the royals...

Bred our Lemon Pastel to 2 females.. And we had a pleasant surprise from both pairings.. Our banded female normal has proven out genetic. She laid 4 eggs, all were banded. One male normal, and 3 female banded pastels.

The other female laid 6 eggs, 2.1 Granite, and 1.2 pastel granites So our lemon pastel has proven out as a lemon pastel granite.

These are the ones we're keeping back...

Couldn't resist adding a picture of this little guy.. We didn't breed him, but bought him this year. We think he's the best example of a black pastel we've seen.

And got this little lady for my birthday in October.. She's still not got a name. Haven't thought of anything that fits her yet..

She's a CB09 Black Phase White Lipped Python.

Thanks We're really happy with her.. I'd wanted a Black phase one for ages, and definitely a CB hatchling, so we can handle her loads so she'll be tame when she's big. Mason spotted her when we were in Snakes N Adders picking up a royal on my bday, so I got her too
