1st snake (09 CB Western Hognose)

Have no idea on a name yet for the little fella, maybe 'Bacon'?

He seems to like it when I start cooking in the evening, he comes out from his little self made burrows in the aspen to see what I'm doing.

Feeding day in the shop was Saturday, bought him last Friday and he did indeed strike and feed a pinky on Saturday. Read that babies may need a little more so opted to try him on 2 a week, one Weds and one Sat? He didn't strike on wednesday but after 10 minues of alone time with the pinky he soon swallowed it up. Should I feed him twice a week or once but with more prey?

Good choice. How much does it weigh? Id just give it enough to have a gradual weight gain and not overdo it otherwise it will cause health problems. I feed mine every 5 days, got her up to 2 small pinkies now.

i feed mine 1-2 every 5 days depending on size x they addictive though, i wanted 1 but got 7

Mine was on 1 every 5 days but now on 2, he weight is now 17-20g. I've heard other people feed them small amounts every 3 days or so so who knows what is best
