Default feeding cali kings

i will put this one to caliking lover.
where do you draw the line between under/and over feeding.
how do you know when they have bin fed enough, or need more.
is there a general guide line.
i feed mine 2 average mice a week.
but after feeding ,he seems to spend the next hour or so, exploring every inch of the viv , looking 4 more.
he even explores the water , as if to see if theres anything hiding in there.
is there a danger in over feeding.

as a general rule, once a cali kings feeding response has been sparked, they try to hunt out food for a couple of hours after feeding then settle down, I feed mine the same mate and it has gotten bigger and chunkier, but not fat, so I think I have found a balance, every snake is different

hi,
its already been answered really. may i ask how big the snake is and if it is male or female?
are you breeding it?

i feed mine differently depending on time of year etc. at the moment i am feeding exactly the same as you and she is around 4ft and will be bred from this year.

hope this helps.
lee

p.s if you have any more questions feel free to ask
