Default Survey on Boa's

i figured this would be the best place to do this.

i would like to know who has a boa
what made you get a boa?
if you have a boa, what kind of boa or boa's do you have?
if you dont have a boa, why dont you have one?
what is stopping you from making your next purchase a boa?
what is your favourite boa?
do you prefer locality boa's or morphs?

so many seem to have Royals or Corn snakes, i'm just trying to figure out the reason more people dont have boa's

OK so I dont have a boa but I'll do the survey anyway

if you have a boa, what kind of boa or boa's do you have? none
if you dont have a boa, why dont you have one? Partially due to space, partially as I prefer colubrids to boids
what is stopping you from making your next purchase a boa? They dont fit in with the curent collection (Heterodon and pituophis sp.) - Other animals I would rather have to make up pairs etc. currently
what is your favourite boa? Hogg Island
do you prefer locality boa's or morphs? Locale

the reason im doing this is to figure out if opening a a shop just for boa's would work in england...i have a passion for boa's i figured most cant deal with the size so if i breed the dwarve boa's aswell more people in england will want them i just want to spread Boa Joy

The shop wouldn't be such a good idea in my opinion.. maybe just be a private breeder online... and at shows.. would still share the boa love then.

Id agree with that, shops have huge overheads to pay and boas alone just wouldnt pay the rent. A decent website, some advertising on herp forums and a tab le at the local shows should serve you well though.

yeah private breeder would be the way to go, its just that i wouldn't know who the boa's are going to or anything....maybe i should demand monthly pics for atleast 2 years....and a vet checkup every 6 months i would be a bad business man, keeping all the boa's

my first breeding project will be these bad boys that im getting in July of 2007, very long away but i cant wait

If you advertise on forums and sell at shows you will probably find you know most of your customers better than if you ran a shop. The herp community is a pretty closed network of people, so after a while you will feel like you know everyone there is to know!
