Default herps??????

i know this sounds silly but can some body explain to me the meaning of herps????/

The study of reptiles and amphibians is called Herpetology, hence Herps

Herpetology (from Greek: ἑρπετόν, herpeton, "creeping animal" and λόγος, logos, "knowledge") is the branch of zoology concerned with the study of amphibians and reptiles. Many biologists use the term "herp" or "herptiles" for all reptiles and amphibians
