Default Retained eyecap

My rather aggressive carpet python has a retained eyecap. I've never had to deal with one before but was told two moisten it with cottonwool and then keep wiping it gently till it comes off.

I thought I'd check on here whether that was the best thing to do.

She's a nasty little cow so if anyone could advise me on the easiest and fastest way to do it I'd appreciate it!!! Also, any interested in buying a cp? lol!

you can try putting her in a damp pillow case for a while, i know people who had great results with this meathod, personally if its just the one time its happened thus far, i would not do a thing, when she comes up for shed next keep humidity high, bath her etc, and normally it will come off, a retained cap is unlikely to cause any damage to eye until it gets to a point where there are several caps retained.

Cheers the advice I'll give the pillowcase thing a go. It sounds a lot less stressful for both me and Princess Peanut (the cp)!
