Smile Possible shop names

Hey guys, I know this has been asked before, but I'd like to here some opinions on shop names, as I may well need one soon! So.... Before I list some options, I'd like to say they aren't all my suggestions, some I like, some I don't particularly.

Also I'd like to ask that you don't post suggestions unless you are happy to let me have them! Cause that'd be harsh.

Here are some possibilities:

Cobras and Corns
Boas and Beardies
The Snake Pit
Reptilian
Fangs
Scales
Forked Tongue
Serpent Tongue

Any opinions/ideas? please?

If it was me I would just name the shop after myself; create a brand out of your own name!

The problem with calling it "The Snake Pit" or "Cobras and Corns" etc etc is that you aren't going to just be selling snakes. You'll likely end up selling a whole range of reptiles, amphibians and inverts, and no one name can encompass all of that so I wouldn't even bother trying.

Bob Clark has the right idea because his website address is just his name rather than something refering to a particular species. It gives greater freedom to be flexible without seeming to step outside his own territory and, of course, it builds up a reputation around his own name...something he can then take with him to whatever species he chooses to work with next.

You see the same principle being applied by all the top hairdressers too. They don't come up with catchy names for their salons, they build a brand around their own name.

I do see what you mean, and I will be selling all those which you mentioned. I do want the name to reflect what I sell though... Spens exotics?

Definitely agree, either *something* Exotics, or *something* Reptiles... most people associate reptile shops with selling other creepy crawlies and lizards too, so I think either would be good.
