Default permission to keep snakes in council house

right was told by someone i might need to ask council permission to keep snakes so i went to the council and asked.

first the guy told me you need written permission from some other place and they let you keep 1 snake. then said you could keep 1 snake 1 bearded dragon 1 Leo. then it starts to get funny he said just last week there was a guy in here that had permission but had to give his snake to the zoo because, yes you know the story.

i was near pissing my self.

does anyone know if you do need permission im in aberdeen if that helps

Im in Devon and as far as i know u dont need any permission to keep animals in council houses, it would seem strange that u would need to seek permission?? In you agreement it will have all of the rules you need to follow - if this says nothing about snakes then ur fine and ur legally not in breach of contract keeping them - This may sound daft but did u explain to the person at council that the snakes were not hots?? u know what some people can be like
