Default BCI BCC cross- size predictions (sorry if repost)

Ok, doing a little more groundork about my new boa with the owner of the reptile store I know now he's a BCI BCC cross. he's 5 years old at present and about 5 ft in length. The lads who work in the shop call him 'the chunky one' so I assume he's heavy bodied for his age.

I know it's hard to predict accurately and depends on a lot of factors. But just roughly, what size can I expect him to get to as a cross? and at what age do they reach full length/thickness?

Sorry if its been asked before- the terms BCI and BCC are too short for the search functions.

Thanks a lot!

if hes 5 i dont think much more growth will happen to be honest! most growth happens in the first three years, year one being the most dramatic! my common is nearly 4 foot and is only 5 months old looks like you have a small boa!

Thanks mate. One lad in the shop said he was 2 and a half and the other now tells me he's 5. It's an extremely reputable place but I got a bit confused.

He's certainly no where near the size of the adult dumerils and macklotts they have there?

well dumerils are usualy smaller that commons and true red tails! you never know about size really its just like asking how big humans grow! all depends on feeding routine and how big its parents are!

this is a 6 year old BCI at 68 lbs and just shy of 11 feet

this is a 15 year old BCC at 80 lbs and just over 13 feet

BCI tend to get to large sizes much faster as this BCC would have been a lot smaller than the BCI at 6 years of age but the BCC tend to carry on there development! the mother of my boa was about the size of the top BCI she was absolutely massive! so was the father so me thinks mine will be a beast!

Hmmm. Suppose it's down to what age he actually is. If he's just over 2 like the first guy said or if he's 5 like the second guy said.

I'll post a pic to give a better idea. Picking him up tmrw!

indeed! and before everyone starts saying power feed she is not! she was big from birth, the biggest there in fact (why i bought her) and i have only ever fed one prey item as thick as the thickest part of her body! she has been to the vets who agree she is healthy and massive but not over weight for her length! ive also posted pics on here and you know i would have been burned if she was over weight! her last shed was about three weeks ago and that measured 44 inches so she is probably 4ish! seems to be growing so fast aswell, the growth is scaring the hell out of my mum who managed (as some one scared of snakes) to hold it know wont go near it as its to big!

when i bought her

after 3.5 months

Hate to say this mate but she looks fat in the last pic, shes got very little muscle definition and the tail end is just plain obese in my opinion. Sorry.

Hmmmm, does depend on the actual age really but between 6 and 8 foot would be realistic.

I have a 5yo 6'8" male bci and a 7yo 7'9" male bci.

You will have to try and get some info on whether it is a big young snake or a small older snake.

Look forward to seeing some pics

i'd slow that snake down to one feed every fortnight, it is verging on obese for it's age/length
