Default Snake-Sitting-Service :o)

SisterMoonBeam and I are will be providing a pet-sitting service from July 2008 onwards in Southwell, Nottinghamshire. Between us we have a lot of experience with many species; cats, dogs, snakes, hamsters, mice, rabbits, horses... and currently have corn snakes and boa's between us.

Mainly want to help you out with your snakes - although if you have others its worth a try asking, we may be able to fit them in too :o).

£1 per night or £5 for 7 nights.

You will need to bring all your equipment along too - viv/rub/tub etc, heatmat, stat, hides and, of course, food. Rubs are preferred as they save spare but we could accomodate 2/3 ft vivs.
We will follow all your care instructions to the letter, feed them to your rota etc.

Dropping of and picking up your own animals is preferred but a transport service can be provided at cost of petrol.

PM either me or SisterMoonBeam

Call 07976124406 and ask for Kate

Is a pretty good idea, especially for reps as alot of people do worry that others may not care for them properly.
However, i would look into providing RUB's for some snakes, as shifting about a 4ft viv for a BCI for example can prove to be a little tiresome.
May mean upping the price a little to cover costs in the long run but is sure worth it
Also consider quarantine issues too, wouldn't want a mass outbreak of mites for example amongst everones collections

JBJcool: You have our word, cant really offer anything other than that really. It is a good point, i'd be asking these questions too. Just know that lot of people have these problems around the summer and we want to help you out. You will have our email, phone numbers and address, plus you have the forum to slate us on if we do. I can promise you we are totally honest. Considering getting customers to sign a form saying they are going to return and not dump their snakes on us, lol, so maybe we could have a contract working the other way, saying we will return the snake at the stated time/date as a sort of receipt? At the end of the day, if you arent happy with what we are offering, then dont use us.

Reptilesrock: Thanks for support Hope you bear us in mind if you ever need a baby/ big baby sitter. Really good point about the Rubs. Rubbing is obviously preferable, will be a bit stuck if someone wants us to accommodate 6 4ft vivs. We have lots of spare RUBs, crates and vivs hanging around so will be able to offer some spare there, if people are really struggling to get a RUB to bring their snakes to us in.

As far as cleanliness goes, we will check over every snake that comes to us, and if we feel the health status is not up to scratch then we will turn that person away. Will disinfect hands between handling different snakes and do all we can to ensure no health problems are spread. At the end of the day, our snakes are being kept in the same place and we dont want to put them at risk as much as we dont want to put yours at risk.

Kate and Laura x

If they are rubbed... we're all good.
If they are all in 4/5ft vivs... not going to work...

But would you have room to help someone out with 10 4/5 ft vivs!!??

Either way, we'd work that out with the owner.

Sounding really good
Cheers for answering that by the way
The space issue i'm guessing is simply a first come first served basis and as a business you are offering what you have and then understandibly turning away business when full.
I will keep you guys in mind

Thanks a lot!!!

Tis true really, we can try to house whatever you throw at us but if someone comes along with a MASSIVE collection that wil take up the whole house we may have to say no to some - though if you throw them at us literally may not be as accommodating
