Those i have known that have kept them have found them fairly easy to keep but a bloody nightmare to breed. apparently you can forget cycling the things unless you have air con.

They're on my project list for either this year or next year. I've known a couple of people that have kept them and I'd agree with Moshpitviper; they require very cool temperatures if you want success with breeding..they virtually need hibernating!

Get yourself a couple of good books on them: Keeping and Breeding Australian Pythons ed. by Mike Swan, Pythons of the World Vol 1 by the Barkers, and look for anything on the topic by Prof. Richard Shine. Proper cycling is a must if you are to keep them alive, let alone breed them (look into the infamous Diamond Python Syndrome: DPS). Good luck, I'd love to see more of these about. Also make sure you buy them from a trusted breeder, as there are many around that are from questionable lines. Precision Reptiles are one I would recommend - they were selling males for 800Euro last year, pairs at 2500.
