have a royal that they NEVER see? since mine has been ill hes never out any more unless hes out when im asleep. he got the all clear from the vet on saturday so maybe hes still a little under the wether??

I have a couple like that, perfect behaviour for em, he will be out an about when your asleep most likely

yeh 90% of people that own one lol they are very shy snakes anyway and tend to only come out at night

don't see mine much during the day, apart from mebber a tail sticking out of a hide or a glimpse of a tongue flicker. As soon as the lights get turned off around ten then all the snakeys pop out for a slither. Is why I often stay awake late, I like to watch

Ours dont come out during the day... But at night they do apparently. Iv never seen it but i dont come into work at night, i escape & stay away lol

coool i know its normal for them i woudnt have asked execpt before he got ill he would come out at night when the lights wer off before i went to bed.

royals are very relusive snakes the are nocturnal, mine never come out till after 8 for royals i do all my spot cleans and checks and feeding at night, i try not to disturb them in the day

My Oscar pops his head or his tail out of his hide, think thats just to let me know he's still there lol, i always check his viv before going to bed and in the mornings, don't know about anybody else's Royal but Oscars viv looks like he's hosted a rave when i check it of a morning, either that of he speed races after i've gone to bed
