Default Venomous snakes

I've noticed that online shops do not sell any venomous snakes. Are there any available in the UK?

You need a DWA licence to own venomous reptiles. I'm not sure how a seller could ensure you had the licence if they were selling on-line.

Default Dwa

How would one go about getting this license? Would a shop be able to provide me with one?

Nope you need to apply to your local council (UK) and meet certain specifications before they will issue with the right to own any DWA animal !!

Yeah, different councils charge different amounts for the liesence... Also a vet needs to come out and asses the room that you will be keeping the snakes in

do you live i south africa or the UK? if you're in south africa there no legislation about keeping venomous reptiles, get out and catch some.

When you hit the UK thought you'll need to go through the application process with your local council, pay a yearly fee for the licence and public liabilty insurance. you also have to have your premises and accomodatiopn (for the reptiles) checked as part of the application process.

In South Africa there are laws on keeping snakes from south africa and besides for the country having some of the most dangerous snakes in the world a heavy fine (im not sure but i think up to R20 000 about 2000 pounds can be given and have all rights to keeping snakes from S.A taken away)
you dont need a permit to keep exotic venomous snakes but and snake from S.A you do need a pemit

Do not go and catch any snake!!!
