Default First strike feed - Weight off my shoulders!!

Well ive had my royal now for around 9 weeks. He has been a right little fussy since i got him, and had only eaten once, with a rat weaner left in his hide entrance overnight. But after yesterdays bonding session, where i assisted his shed (pics in pic section!), ive really become attached to him, and ive just warmed up a rat weaner, and as soon as i lowered it into his tank, gave it a slight wiggle, he struck! The first time he has ever shown interest in food when offered.
May not sound a big thing to some people, but after 9 weeks of worry, i am over the moon!!!

Great to hear Bruno is strike feeding!!! He must be a bit bigger from when I last saw him?!

Were you holding the rat as he struck or did he just strike for it in his feeding tub??

Glad he's feeding cause I know it's been on ur mind

Let me know about Barking!!

Since I've been super heating my royals food with a hairdryer he has fed like a retic.

Sometimes I barely get the food in the viv before he strikes, and the other week he came out as I was prep'ing the food and took it out of my hand for me.

Took me by surprise, but my own fault for prep'ing the food with the viv door open!!!
