she didnt incubate by the sounds of it she didnt even realise the eggs were there and incubated themselves but that is a hell of a long time not to clean the whole tank etc and spot them??? unless there live bearers! will have to research that!!

i really shoudv thought of livebearing before posting but didnt cross my mind. From an assumption of an egg bearing species, it seemed weird is all.

the current debate is one of intergrades, somebody made a mistake of putting a male and a female of 2 different species of garter snake intogether for a short time, as it wasnt breeding season she didnt think any harm would come of it so she wouldnt have any issues.....................
but now she has been left with a little of intergrades, the young are absolutely stunning. the current debate is that some people think the litter should be frozen (euthanised) or used as food for other snakes, while others are offering them homes where they can live out their lives without the risk of them being bred and spoiling any blood lines.
Whats your opinion?
Aww... why euthanise them? People cross corns and kings in the name of "fashion" and they are not even the same genus! As long as they are not going to be released or included in breeding projects, they will still make fine pets!

I'd take some in any day of the week!

i really wish people would take notice that freezing anything actually hurts a hell of a lot!
it might just be cos i've just finish watching the harry potter films but those "people" on that forum remind me of the death eaters, hell bent on destroying all the creatures they believe to be inferior!
next they'll be talking about freezing cross breed dogs, they complain about these so called horrible crosses and yet i bet they have all looked at something or other thats a cross(like a tigon or a labradoodle) and thought wow thats cool.
people like that sicken me its as bad as the KKK!

as my wifey posted this argument to see what we all think about it here on this forum,.. we are disturbed that some people are going on about clean genes and inferior etc.. they sound like some kind of garter snake nazi's.. no healthy snake should be killed due to its heritage wether pure or not and i dont see how anyone that calls themselves snake lovers, herpetologists etc can say they would rather have it killed than to live.. its barbaric and nonsense.
btw if anyone is interested its the Garter Snake forum. where this has been goin on for over a week now..
