Personally, I believe that two sub species that would not meet naturally should be called Hybrids, not Intergrades.

Playing devils advocate too....

MANY snakes are used as food for other snakes if it is part of that snakes diet. Is it any different ethically to feeding them any other animal ?

I don't have a problem with using them as feeders if:

1. The person selling them knows they're going as feeders and consents
2. The person buying them has an animal that will eat them
3. The person buying them can humanely euthanise them prior to feeding out.

But saying to someone who is commenting about how cute the babies are that they're an abomination and a threat to all garterhood and should be whacked into the freezer (paraphrased from the gist of the posts) is a bit callous.

I would have more tactfully asked if the owner would be happy selling one or more of them as feeders to someone with a dedicated snake-eating animal. Hell, some people would think my cornsnakes are nothing but cobra and king food... and I'd object very strongly to someone telling me my clutch of eggs is no good to anyone except as feeders. Sorry, but they're also good as pets, and that's what they'll be. No, I won't be knowingly selling them as feeders.
