The only thing I can think of is that one of your snows is actually a blizzard. This would mean that each 'snow' carries an incompatible anery strain (normal snow is homozygote for anery type 'A', blizzard is homozyote for anery type 'B' (AKA 'charcoal'). This would make your offspring 100% amel 100% het anery het charcoal. However, you also have had a 'snow' come out. For this to occur one of the adults must also be het for the other anery type! I also thought about the blizzard issue , but I dont know enough about genetics to think it through but I think that might be the answer.
Will be interested to see what people with a good knowledge of genetics think. John |
