Default Royal coming out of his randy starving mode!!
Hey Everyone!

Just a quick question really and maybe some advice..

Sebastian the Royal went on a lil hunger strike for 6 months!! He started eating again about 3 weeks ago THANKFULLY!!! Anyways! I have been feeding him every 5 days to get his weight back up...

However! He is REALLY going for them to the point he constricts so tight he pops the Mouse/Rat!

I guess it makes sense he is going to be hungry because he hasnt eaten but should I feed more often for a while??? He is already eating the correct size for him so I cant up that.......

I dont wanna over feed but he seems REAL hungry!!!

Any Advice?? This is my first Royal Hunger strike and I guess I just wanna make sure I do it all right!

how big is he and what size you feeding him bex?

you really shouldn't feed more often than every 5-7 days or so to give them time to finish digesting before the next meal

Hey sweetie,

He weighs 826 grams I am feeding him large weiners or small rats enough to give a fair sized bump in his tummy......

He only lost 30ishgrams when he went on starving but he really does seem hungry!

i'd just keep doing what you're doing, every 5-7 days (def 7 for a small rat) , and don't be tempted to increase that cos it's jus fine

Wicked! Cheers mate, I think he is just good at making me feel guilty about him not eating!!!!

My cornsnake stricks hard at the mouse and constricts it tight and the mouse cums open i feed her every 7 days with a meduim-adult mouse, and then if she lucky she will get a chick and i feed her every 10 days then.

When mine come out of fasting periods I always just stuck to the same regime really tbh. 5-7 days is fine
