thats pretty hot dude. i keep my snake near a window so fresh cool air can go in. my room is always hot to mate and the problem is that you cant keep the cool end cool enough, mine is fine near the window. also your fish tanks will make the room well humid, is there not another suitable place around your house. also if your tank does get too hot you can get a fan cooler that goes in the tank. find them with the thermostats on most reptile sites.

My humidity is never lower then 50%.. a humidifier works great to keep up the humidity but that doesn't look like a problem for you being as yours is 80% lol If you have a large enough water dish in his tub then the humidity should be fine

If he's not in direct sunlight then he should be fine, just make sure it's not to hot/cold out

I just got a hatchie Royal and I am sure that this snake does not like high humidity as they hang out in arid African terrain in the wild.

Correct me if I am wrong, I am on a steep learning curve right now!

Tara xxx

p.s. Lovely piccies by the way!

he is great mate. i should be getting my royal in a few weeks. he shouldnt get cold by the window, the thermostat will just kick in a bit more at night. my temp goes from 81 to 85 all day long. if the cool end gets a little bit too cold im sure they will move. i have 2 corns that live together and they spend all day curled together. i was gonna seperate them but i am having second thoughts. maybe time for a vote
