I think you probably can use the uv light with corns, but its not known to be necessary or beneficial. I may stand to be corrected but thats the situation as I know it!

what % uv tube and what morph corns?
i personally wouldnt use uv with any "red eyed" morph because of their increased sensitivity to light (i know a few leucistic rat snakes that have been kept with uv and have ended up blind) but if they have the normal black eyes and its 5% or 2% uv tube then theres no reason why you cant mount the tube on the roof of the viv and use it for the day/night cycle

and good point, i dont know of any research that says uv light is beneficial or not for corn snakes and you could just ditch the uv tube and get a normal tube for the starter to give them a day/night cycle...

Some experts believe that some snake species benefit from UV, but I don't think corns are one of those species.

Corns don't need UV so maybe save it for another snake another day hehe.

Its probably a generic starter kit that could be used for many reptiles, no need for UV with corns.
