Default pros or cons? Hybrids

ATBxETB

Though you might hear a variety of pros and cons on "Hybrids snake" in rep-forums often,
it is maybe yes and no in my case.
Actually it depends on the snake's aspects and what the parents are.

Some breeders (mostly Americans and Germans) created some great and gorerous looking
new species.
Have a look this site. → Shed_Your_Fears’s Blogs » reptilegeeks.com

・Carpondros - carpet python x green tree python
・Carpalls - carpet python x ball python
・BurmBalls - burmese python x ball python
・ATB x ETB - amazon tree boa x emerald tree boa
・BorneoxBall - borneo blood python x ball python
・Wall - woma x ball python
・IJxWOMA - Irian Jaya Carpet Python x Woma
・Mollucan x Coastal Carpet Python

What do you think? Still are you not interested in them?

Or you prefer the genuine breed?

I don't like the idea of two different species breeding that are from completly different areas of the world.

Just my opinion however

I do like some of them, but the high prices and the fact that they can wreck breeding programes put me off. Mind you, as long as you know its a hybrid it shouldnt be a problem. Prefer pure-bloods though.

I think some hybrids look super - I particularly love the puebla-corn hybrids I saw produced a few years ago and have plans to produce my own at some point in the future.

I don't really see it as a problem provided people buying hybrid hatchlings are made aware of exactly what they are, and those people then remain honest when selling on any offspring produced from the hybrid line.

Unfortunately, not all keepers are that honest, or knowledgeable enough to understand the implications of hyrbidisation, and thats when problems arise.

Although hybrids are nice I still prefer the original ones.

hybrids are just as good as the genuine breeds depending on the snake because they could turn into a saught after morph
