Question temperature ????

what is the average room temperature.

well that's hard to say. depends what you live in and where you live. i'm in a flat the front room is around 24 ish (no heat on)

do yah think my cornsnake could survive in her viv , with no heat mat , at that temperature. 24 is about 70 farenheit is it not.

The only way you will know YOUR room temperature is by measuring it.

No a corn should not be without a thermostatically controlled hotspot of around 88F

but when i connect my heat mat to my thermostat it doesnt work.

Saw your threads before. You'll have to get another one, or sort it out. You said you ddint know what doesnt work.

Firstly, if you plug the mat into the wall does it heat up?

For a day or so, the corn will be ok at room temperature. But only for a short time.

you have got a matt stat right? i have read on here that somepeople have gone out and got a normal stat to find is dosen't work with heat mats?

well my heat mat does work on its own. were can i get a mat stat. do i need one URGENTLY because she has allready gone a day with no heat . should i leave the heat mat on or off.

well i would say no stat, no heater to play safe. but get it sorted asap. can't run the risk of the mat cooking your snake.
