Hi all,
If you have to live feed, some snakes will go back to FT, if your snake will not except fresh killed or frozen thawed. You can cover yourself by getting a letter from your vet explaining the situation, and then you can feed at home not get the vet to do it for you.. It is not against the law to feed live, it's the RSPCA that will try to cause problems if it finds out. There is a sticky about live feeding above. slither61 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Last edited by slither61; 23-09-2008 at 12:50 AM.. |

Long short of it:
Don't do it unless you have to do it as the snake will not eat any defrost rodent or fresh killed. They'd like a vet to oversee this but that costs and arm and a leg. What you do in your own private home is nobody elses businesses so keep yourself to yourself, if you need to do it, then do it but don't do it for fun and post it to the world. Rachel |

I'm not looking to justify live feeding I'm trying to find out the law.
And the RSPCA may have an opinion but need to observe the law and relay relevant information if requested. |
