Default My first snakes first handling! :)

Well today was my snakes first handling. I decided to keep it down to five minuets and slowly increase the time bit by bit.

I must say I was very nervous, not that I was scared of the snake, but of what might happen to the snake if I mess up, it being my first time with a snake I actually own.

Well after removing it's hide I put my hand in, giving it a few gentle touches before picking it up. Snake was surprisingly well behaved, only a tiny bit of rattling and two lunges at my finger (with no actual bites) and then once it was in my hand the snake calmed down and decided to coil around my wrist and explore my arms.

All went very well ^.^

Yea! Well done!

I'm glad it was a positive experience.

I love handling my snakies and it is one of my favourite aspects of keeping.

Default Hehe

He/she is a Carolina corn snake. It goes through days of really wanting to be left alone to really excited and explores it's viv.

One thing, does a snakes body grow faster than it's head? He/she still has quite a small head.
