Default Cross Species

I may have to get rid of one of my males as we think we have been sold two males as the man who sold us them said they were male and female. I was speaking to someone i know who owns a pet store and she said for me to keep one of the males and put him to a carpet python or a jaguar python.
I personally have always been a fan of carpets and seem intrigued with the idea.

When i was looking at photos of jaguars and carpets the seem very long in length and skinnier than a royal. How would that work out with breeding them. Wouldnt they fight or kill each other? I am very keen on getting a new snake to breed with. Can anyone shed some light on this and maybe suggest if it is easy to cross breed species what else i can breed my royal with?

it is a very difficult thing to do. in order to hybridise between two different species you have to cater for both species breeding conditions and even then there is no guarantee that the two individuals you have will be compatible (from an individual sense) if you are new to breeding would make more sense to get yourself a female and try to breed pure species first.

please dont take this as trying to stop you from trying, in all honesty i love carpalls and if you do try successfully i would like to be the first to purchase one lol. pop in to the shop where i work and ill discuss further with ya. always looking for a reason to stop work and chat lol

Great Barr bit far to go but since i will already be over that side might aswell pop in might fall in love with something though lol. Nah i have never been too far out for a pet shop only went to blooms in kenilworth. BIG MISTAKE lol but i have been using local reptile shops lately. My dad wants to take me to a pet shop in worcester apparently they have lovely snakes out there.
