People who like snakes are weird!!!!

Why is it whenever i say that i keep snakes as a hobby everyone's first reaction is UUUUUURRRRRrrrrrrrrhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!

Are we the only people who think snakes are fascinating and beautiful creatures who take a great deal of thought and care to look after. Or maybe that's just me.
If i said i had a puppy everyone would want to know everything about it, including it's name!
Say you have a snake and your a weirdo!!! Why????

Outside of this website i don't know anyone who likes snakes.

Ok who cares what people think? Me, just because i like snakes, It doesn't make me a weirdo. I am a normal bloke who just happens to like snakes.

hehehe last night we had some drinks with my mate and his friends came over (his bday).

my mate told someone that i have some lizards and snakes and they cool and lovely animals.

only one comment towards me - "you the weirdest guy i ever met"

When I got my 1st snake even my family thought I was weired and a tad mental but now one of my sisters and my Grandad are so facinated they are looking into getting their own snake. I do have some freinds though that won't even come in my house and I'm cut dead by certain people at Uni coz I'm the weird snake lady freak but fk em.

lol LMAO - in all seriousnous though people are just ignorant to how wonderful these animals are, they have no clue that they can be more pleasurable to keep than many other more common animals. many people fears or misunderstandings are purely down to a lack of knowlede

i think it has a lot to do with peoples fear, i don't see much difference in keeping snakes to say keeping fish but nobody bats an eye if you say you have a fish tank but tell them you got some snakes and they think you worship Satan or something
