Default Overpriced?

Been in my local rep shop today where I buy amost everything I have and am confident with the uy in there. His equipment prices are competative but his animals are a little overpriced sometimes.
Anyhow, been looking round for a baby corn and he had some stunning ones CB Feb08 at £60, then ...saw ...which he let me hold for about 20 mins and fall in love with ... an adult corn CB May06 who was stunning right down to his little eyes ...

He's 18 months and very strong, good muscle tone and really good size. He was lively to begin with while he had a stretch out, then cured around my arm and settled really well. He's feeding happily even though he's about to shed and even though he's about to shed he's a fantastic red and brown colour and his underside looks like a brown zebra.

So I fell in love but this guy's £90. Now I know when your looking for a pet money is really no object, but whats your opinions on him being overpriced?

I don't know what the going rate is on corns, but if an 08 is £60 then I see nothing wrong with an 06 being £90. It's a business at the end of the day and they've endured costs for keeping this snake for 18 months

lol theres an age mixup there (CB06 but 18 months? hmm)

probably just a mishap -if its a healthy adult snake id consider that a good price to be honest. plus if its that 'one for you' snake then even if it is a little too expensive it shouldnt matter!

(hence me and my crestie 'spooky' at rodbaston... i SO didnt have a hundred quid... lol... thats what overdrafts are for!!)

Agree with the above, different morphs are different prices and also it will probably be ready for breeding next year so worth a bit more.

It really does depend on the morph and size. Some people cant be bothered with babys and want a full grown adult to play with, others want to get straight into breeding. Its why they charge more. Let alone the food supply etc. A three year old has probably munched through £30 of food if not a lot more + electric.
