Default Calling all BRB keepers :D

Hi,
Just thought i would do this thread, as i would like to see pictures of your BRB's (Brazilian Rainbow Boa's) and set-ups

I thought it would be quite interesting to share pictures and discuss how you keep them etc, as not everyone keeps them exactly the same e.g. You may use newspaper insted of orchid bark or moss etc.

So just post a few pics up of your boa, set-up and describe how you keep him or her

I know this may seem a little bit wierd or random .. but i just love seeing pics of BRB's and there set-ups etc and would like to see how you keep yours ... i am also doing Blaze my BRB a new viv and would like to see your set-ups and maybe pinch a few ideas

I will be posting pics of my boa soon and his viv when completed

Look forward to your replies

Wayakinwolf has a stunning pair of Brazillian Rainbows.
They are gorgeous, really gorgeous.

I know that when I have that kinda of money to spare for a pair I'll be getting them.

just make sure you get temps and humidity spot on otherwise they will not feed... and mine still wont so im going to change his viv around and try spagnum moss as substrate. and temps over 88 degrees are not good for Brb's and can eventually kill them. i wouldnt reccomend a Brb to a beginner but if you know what your doing they are great.

Well here is my 2004 Female, She is called Rainbow and was purchased for a bargain £80.

Pictures are about a month out of date, so more improvements have been made, but here we go anyway, set up now has 100w ceramic fitment for heat, rather than the heatmat and bulb I was using, also larger water bowl. Situated behind the bark is a large plastic tub (Hide) filled with damp moss, which is sprayed daily, I still have loads of work to do mainly plants to add. She will be eventually be moved into a 4x2x2.

mines only a cb06 so still small enough to keep in a plastic faunarium.no point of posting the set up as its basic, a hide at each end, orchid bark,a moist hide and water dish, heating done by a small mat on a temp stat.
