you would be able to, as they get over here somehow, but no idea how you go about doing it.

I recall years ago, watching an espisode of Airport, and there animal handler having to check on the status of a create of Boa's and Lizards to make sure it was safe to transport and the animals were in good health.

So it must be possible.

Default hi

Depending on where you are going and what you are taking (cites animals needs the paperwork) a ferry is generally the easiest option , but if you contact the airline you are going to use they will let you know what they require, and you may be surprised as it can be less hassle than you might think .

i have had plenty of shipments come from the states now, so i understand how all that works, its really not that expensive to do, and if you getting a few snakes worth it IMO. What the bad thing is, is waiting for up to 6months for the CITES to clear the USFW.

what im wondering there, is what the original poster asked, can you bring from the UK or the continent. or vice versa by plane. Snakes dont quarantine, and as long as they CB, and you have the paperwork, i can not see a reason why you cannot transport them when you are flying yourself.

Ive also had snakes come here to finland, and they were air frieghted no problems.

Be good to know, as there are some of the german shows which i want to go to, but would prefer to fly, and then bring back the snakes on the plane. Ie going to hamm for me in dec would suck, basically cos its a 24hr drive, plus knowing my luck half of that is thru snowy sweden. (in finland today, we have over half a foot of snow

Ok, after many hours of searching (i swear im gonna kill someone) I found this from BA.

http://www.baworldcargo.com/products/liveanimals.shtml?site=/products/liveanimals.shtml#section8_body0_faq0_item1

They transport animals, including reptiles, no problem, except from a very small few countries.. including Germany! damn it!

This goes to show that its ok to do so, just gotta find the right airline.

You CAN also use a specialist pet transport company, but I reckon this would be a little more costly.

Anyone got any further information?
