Question How long would you leave it before you thought it was a issue?

My Boa hasn't poo'd for roughly 2.5 months now, he eats like a machine and it growing up fast, last week he took his first weaner rat.

But as the title suggests, there's never any poo or urinate balls, ever.

I'm not too concerned, as stated, fit, healthly, eats and sheds 100% fine, but at what point in time would BCI owner become concerned.

Also I've tried the warm bath solution many times, and I'm NOT keen on the chick method for many reasons.

Chick's being like laxatives for snakes

I'm not a boa owner, and not up to speed on anything BCI, however 2 and a half months without even urates seems a long time to me...

I think I'd be starting to get worried now, especially if the warm baths aren't helping as this has always worked for me, I would definately be considering a check up at the vets, even if you wait a few more weeks.

Our Royal only goes every 8-10 weeks. She gets the right amount of food and has perfect temps, she just doesn't poo often. That's just the way she is and has been for the time we've had her. Makes cleaning out time a doddle though

Chicks are part of the diet for some species, like my NA rats will get a chick once every few months, but it does have a laxative effect, and isn't always too much fun to clean (peg over nose time!)

In the years i had my boa it was obvious that he could store lots of poo for a long period of time. He could double the time your boa hasnt gone, but there was nothing ever wrong with him, he always went eventually. If hes an adult and only eating a weaner rat thats not going to help either.

have you checked that his opening isn't blocked, i know this can happen sometimes due to bad shedding.
