Nowhere at this time of year! They will be hibernating/brumating. A good way to find out would be to contact English Nature (or whatever they now call themselves), they may have knowledge of populations in that area.

Shrubby rough land should hold plenty of slow worms & grass snakes, maybe common lizards.
Adders like hiding in piles of wood, but can be seen out basking occasionally. But has been said they are all asleep at the moment! |
